Psychological First Aid Course

The Psychological First Aid Course equips learners with a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, trauma, and grief on others, while also emphasizing the importance of self-care and personal protection. This training is designed to build resilience and promote effective emotional and psychological support in times of crisis.

Learners are introduced to the Red Cross Look, Listen, Link, Live model, a resiliency-building approach that strengthens emotional, psychological, and social well-being. This model teaches participants how to support both themselves and others in coping with different types of stress. The course relies heavily on case-based learning and incorporates the latest evidence from the international community.

Key Course Details

Duration: 45–90 minutes of online learning (self-paced) followed by 7 hours of in-class training. Online material must be completed before the in-class portion.

Language: English

Prerequisite: Recommended minimum age of 16 years. Online material must be completed prior to the in-class portion.

Certificate: 3-year certification in Psychological First Aid
