Food safe level 1 is a course that is mainly designed to teach about food handling, sanitation and work safety course that is made to serve the purpose of the cooks, servers, dishwashers, bussers and daily workers. This course involved a vast study that involves worker safety and is made sure that it covers the BC Health Act: Food Premises Regulation that involves that all the worker must hold the Food Safe Level 1 certification.
Students must achieve 70% or more on the written multiple-choice examination. Upon successful completion, students will be issued a Food Safe Level 1 certificate. Original certificates from Fraser Health will be received from Fraser Health in 4-6 Weeks. This certification expires after 5 years.
